Going to Wilkens(372)from High Fields
To and from Highfields
Coming off entrance of 195 to S.Rolling(166)..What do I see?
Looking Across and down S.Rolling towards 195..
Here is what I mentioned earlier, the 40mph sign across the street..bad pic tho..
Looking at High Fields from a 1/2 block down from intersection, you can see the"Do Not Block Intersection" sign at the corner, its repeated again at the median as well..This pic clearly shows the two lanes, the car making the turn hasn't completed it yet..now imagine if a cr coming up that second lane, bypassing all the traffic on the left side..imagine that car as a 4 door ford explorer..where its tip is, is where my front side door is..my front end would've been clearly visible and had he had come up at that instant..i would've breaked immediately thus suffering front rt side damage..
The above pic and the one below show a little more detail of the road's division.. there is a lane that comes off the left side before the intersection and halfway between from 195 to HighFields and is clearly marked as a trning lane for HIGH FIELDS.
Also as I said before, this time using the above red truck as an example, its position is the same as the car that was in front of us and had backed up to its present position to let us in,however the car that was to its front was still blocking the intersection even tho there are signs saying that its prohibited..also the car that was behind the stopped car(red truck), was the witness' position..as u can see she had birds'eye view....
More Traffic, gettin heavy..3pm-4pm..you can see a hint f the arrow for the turning lane at high fields...If the man was in said lane, he would have been forced to turn but would've also had to yield to traffic...common sense..
Traffic coming off of the exit from 195 to S.Rolling road (166)
Inside Car at Left Turn lane into High Fields
The reason I took these was to show the perspective and turn.
the White car that is on its way up in the first pic, then appears in the 3rd pic was where the first car that stopped for us was positioned at...u could probably imagine this area at 5:15pm,traffic backed up all the way to the 195 exit/entance..
Now the witness' vehicle was behind that first car..so u may have an idea of where her view was...
the lane that u see in front of the median/barrier going awy from the intersection, connects with s.rolling going toward 195,and just a tidbit..the speed limit on THAT side of the road is 40mph as opposed to the opposite side where traffic was backed up being 30mph.....Now what's interesting about this pic is also the fact that the car in the rear seems to be in passing mode..now since the time i took these was midday around 2pm, traffic was very open, from a few cars every 15 min..which unfortunatly is the total opposite at 5:15....that car ended up going that lane to 372..
Car Damage PIx,

from the front...clearly we already had made the turn prior to him hitting us, my daughter in the baby seat behind the front passenger seat....
